Hot Apple Gin was never meant to become a brand. It was meant to be enjoyed by family, in winter, with nowhere to be. What began as a quiet experiment became a recipe we couldn't keep to ourselves. Warm, layered, and made with care: this is a drink that carries a story in every glass.

We're proud to finally share it.

How it started

It started with a message from a brother who was travelling one winter, a tip, a nudge, a thought that simply said: look at this. The reply came back almost immediately:

Warm gin… 🤔

Hmmm…

Still, I think I'm going to try to make it during the Christmas holidays.

The Origin of Hot Apple Gin

What followed were weeks of experimenting, adjusting, and starting over. A spice syrup developed from scratch. Proportions tweaked by feel rather than measurement. And a gin to tie it all together. Almost nothing written down. It took two full winters before the recipe became what it is today, but somewhere along the way, it stopped being an experiment.

It became a ritual.

Every winter, family gathered. Brothers, sisters, parents, children, coats on, sometimes a fire burning, often outside. After a long walk, a day of shopping, or simply coming home after a cold day, to good company. Those afternoons and evenings are what Hot Apple Gin is made of. Over time, it became our family recipe. The kind you don't let go of.

Then came the moment that changed everything. We were together, glasses in hand, when someone said, half-jokingly and not entirely serious, that other people should be able to taste this too. The silence that followed said everything.

That same year, we set up at a Christmas market for the first time. We ran out of everything, restocked in a hurry, and ran out again. More than once. We never forgot the first glass we sold to a stranger, and we never will.

The year after, people came back asking for us by name. That told us everything we needed to know.

We bottled our first batch. The response confirmed what we already felt. Today, we make Hot Apple Gin with our own gin, developed specifically for this recipe. And now, this winter, Hot Apple Gin will be served for the first time in bars and restaurants across multiple countries, poured by hands that aren't ours, to people we've never met.

Growing up means letting go, they say… We think we're ready for that.

What started around a family fire, is now finding its way to tables across the world.

That, we think, is how a legacy begins.
